Adil Şenkaya is known for his distinctive approach to painting the kaftans of Ottoman sultans, among the most elegant symbols of Ottoman court culture. Through extensive study of the patterns, gold embroidery and rich colours of centuries-old fabrics in the Topkapi Palace collections, he reinterprets the splendour of an era in every work.

From the texture of velvet to the shimmer of gold thread, Şenkaya renders every detail in layers of oil paint, bringing traditional motifs into contemporary compositions. Each painting is a unique, one-of-a-kind work and is delivered signed by the artist.
